Land Map

This overview map is a great way to get the lay of the land at Marabou. As you can see, every site has it’s own benefits and personality. We warmly welcome you to your luxury ranch community.

lot story

Before the turn of the century Hahn’s Peak was crawling with Gold and Silver Mining Camps. In 1875, John Farwell purchased many of the claims and built a town, a wagon road to ship in a sawmill, and a 15 mile ditch to bring water for hydraulic sluicing. After mining for a short period of time without any luck, Farwell sold the operation to Robert McIntosh, who then found significant amounts of gold within only two months. The peak became riddled with tunnels from people looking for the elusive lode. Later a daily stage from Steamboat catered to the new merchants arriving in crowds to Hahn’s Peak. Today, Hahn’s peak still has a network of mines, some hidden, some still identifiable. Adventurers still hike to the top passing mine shafts along the way.

A Western Country Club…Reimagined

With a guaranteed four weeks per year at our gets cabins for you and your family, you’ll never have to build on your pristine land. Or if you want to try your hand at finding gold in the hills, you can build on your land and live year-round looking up at the Sleeping Giant as it marks the changing of the seasons and keep the four weeks for your family to come visit (and help pan the river)! With amenities like World-Champion and Olympian-guided biking, skiing, hunting, fishing and horseback riding, and on-call access to the best massage therapists Steamboat has to offer at our on-site Downstream spa to name a few, we like to think of it as all of the best amenities of a country club, only reimagined to include the best parts of a private luxury ranch community.  On a green summer morning visit The Barn, saddle up, and ride up to your property, hitch your horse on your own plot of land and enjoy a picnic, take in the view of the Sleeping Giant and Elk River recalling days gone by. In the winter watch the plentiful herds of elk and mule deer meander through white powder pawing through the snow as they graze. Enjoy all Marabou offers in any season.
